Read This When You're Weary... ⭐️

Ever felt like everyone else has their hands on the steering wheel of your life? I recently heard a pastor speak, and he asked an important question, "Whose hands are you placing your expectations in?" And boy, did that strike a chord in me.
Now, let's be real. We all carry expectations; it's something inherent and personal. Yet, how often do we outsource these expectations to others? It's like handing off the reins of our lives to those around us. 😱
The universal struggle seems to be this: we invest our heart ♥️ and soul into our work, only to measure its worth by how others perceive it. Our expectation-setting process, our self-worth and self-evaluation all become heavily reliant on others. But here's the crux of it all - why are we allowing others to determine our successes and failures? 🤷♀️
It's time to pause for a moment and reflect on where we're positioning our expectations. Evaluate the root of these expectations. Is it sprouting from a deep-seated desire to impress others, or is it self-imposed stemming from personal growth objectives?
We won't deny it’s heartening to see others applaud our achievements. But the most essential evaluation is, how satisfied are you with your efforts? Whether you're creating something new, working on a project, or just going about your daily routine, what matters most are the lessons you learn, the effort you put in, and the satisfaction you get out of it.
Shake off those outside influences. Start setting expectations for yourself that you can be proud of, based on your goals and how you feel truly purposeful in this life. Because at the end of the day, it's your life, and only you have the power to shape it. 🔮
So, here's a gentle reminder - it's your hands that should be on the steering wheel of your life's journey. When you're unsure, give your doubts and worries to the BIG guy 🙏 and just keep on another step. And remember, you've got this!
