This might be the most important thing you do for yourself all week!
Apr 28, 2021What do you think of when you hear, "non-negotiables?"
For me, initially I think of running a business. Non-negotiables are one of the pillars for running a well-ironed hustle. It creates a versed boundary between what is most critical to tackle and what is not, in order to reach the next level in your business. Non-negotiables allow you to keep your “eyes on the prize,” so to speak.
We use this powerful tool to create a road map for fastest growth in a business mindset, but what about using this same proven framework for personal development and boundary setting in our personal lives?
Welcome to Couch Talk!
We all have some kind of calendar to follow that keeps us on a mission to tackle one task or appointment, after the next, until the working day comes to a close, right?
And, to some degree, this kind of calendar might be the only source of validation one might receive and/or accept at the end of each day, right?
But what about a type of schedule that validates more than “a job well done!?” What about a type of structure coded into your day to be used as an anchor to support your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being and not just “job well done!?”
Since it’s Monday and there is no better time like the present, let’s start mapping out your roadmap for personal growth this week. Write down your non-negotiables this week when it comes to your time, finances, family choices, health choices, career and relationship choices, etc. that you aim to reinforce each day by the power of your CHOICE and the power of your VOICE.
Having this ‘schedule,’ of non-negotiables offers you validity outside of your hustle. It serves as a reminder that as long as your personal non-negotiables are in effect, your hustle is victorious, every day.
Below is an example outline you can use as a valuable resource, setting it all into motion.
Your ‘YES’ serves as validation and protection as you walk confidently through your day knowing that you are serving the highest-good for yourself. And your ‘NO’ serves as pardon gift to people pleasing and instills a deeper connection to a relationship built on trust with yourself.

A reminder of motivation on this beautiful Monday…
The only validation you need is the one you serve to yourself, by maintaining your word and feeding your highest and best self with some soul service.
